There is no provision for membership / registrartion / affiliation / enrolment of NGOs and individuals with the CGSHRC. Hence no request on these issues will be entertained by the Commission.

About Us

  • Chhattisgarh State Human Rights was established  on 16th April 2001

 

  • Hon'ble Shri Justice K. M. Agarwal, retired Chief Justice  had assumed charge as the  1st Chairperson of the Commission.

 

  • Shri K.A. Jacob, IPS,  retired DGP had assumed charge as the  first Member  of the Commission

 

  • Shri Alok Jha, District and Sessions Judge  had taken charge as Joint Secretary  on deputation from Hon'ble High Court of Chhattisgarh. He retained the post from 10/09/2001 to 05/10/2004.  Presently Shri Dilip Bhatt is functioning as Joint Secretary of the Commission w.e.f.  15.10.2004 on deputation from Hon'ble High Court of Chhattisgarh.

 

  • Smt. Anita Jha, District and  Sessions Judge  has taken charge as  Deputy Secretary of the Commission She retained the post from 10/09/2001 to 15/10/2004. Thereafter Shri D.R. Dayal was posted as Deputy Secretary and  retained the post from 28/06/2006 to 30/06/2008.

 

  • Shri L.S. Senger is appointed as the first Superintendent of Police of the Commission.  Thereafter Shri Sanjay Tiwari and Shri B.P.S. Pousharya has been posted respectively as Superintendent of Police.

 

  • Mrs Amrita Sanjay Lal was posted as Law officer on deputation from Hon'ble Hight Court of Chhattisgarh. She retained the post from 08/07/2002 to 20/09/2002.  Presently Shri U.S. Mishra is retaining the post of Law Officer w.e.f. 30/06/2006.

 

  • Shri K.A. Jacob has assumed charge as Acting Chairperson w.e.f. 03rd August 2002 as Justice Shri K.M. Agarwal has rendered his resignation from the post of Chairperson of the Commission.

 

  • Shri Lal Jayaditya Singh, Retd. District and Sessions Judge has assumed charge as the Member of the Commission w.e.f. 05.05.2004 and as Acting Chairperson w.e.f 13.05.2004. He retired on 04.05.2009.

 

  • Shri V.S. Choubey IPS, Retd. ADGP has taken charge as Member w.e.f. 09/05/2005 of the Commission.  After the  retirement of Shri Lal Jayaditya Singh, Shri V.S. Choubey had assumed the charge of  Acting Chairperson w.e.f 22.05.2009.
  • Acting Chairperson - Shri Y.K.S.Thakur. Shri Y.K.S.Thakur IPS(Retd.) has assumed the office of Member,CGHRC w.e.f. 06.07.2010.He had assumed the charges of Acting Chairperson w.e.f.26.07.2010.

 

  • Secretary - Shri L.N.Nag. Shri L.N.Nag,Stage Administrative Service,has taken charges of Secretary from 03.05.2010
